Established in 2005, the Computer Engineering department of LDRP Institute of Technology and Research offers Bachelor of Engineering (B. E.) and Master of Engineering (M. E.) programmes in Computer Engineering. The undergraduate B. E. programme is current intake of 240 students and runs in two shifts where as the M. E. is having the intake of 18. Admissions to both these programmes are carried out by the Government nominated admission committee (http://jacpcldce.ac.in). The department has adequate and well-qualified doctorate faculty members who also act as supervisors for Ph.D. programme being run by affiliating university viz. Kadi Sarva Vishwavidyalaya (https://ksvuniversity.org.in/). Active research and post-graduate dissertation is being carried out in department under various facets viz. Cloud computing, data/web mining, networking, image processing, soft computing, IoT etc. Equipped with latest tools and hardware, the department offers state of the art infrastructures to its students for their all round development. Collaboration of various significant stakeholders such as alumni, industry, academia and parents, department resolute to offer all aspects of teaching learning process before the students. Various curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities provide platform to the students to grow freely.

Vision of Department:

To become a distinguished department of computer engineering to create proficient engineers with strong technical background including high ethical values which a responsible citizen of nation should have.

Mission of Department:

  1. To teach and prepare computer professionals those meet not only the professional requirements but also technically aid in offering better life style for humanity.
  2. To provide most up-to-date curricular and to provide adequate teaching learning infrastructure and environment to aspirant engineers which leads to innovation, problem solving skills, leadership eminence and moral accountability.

Message from Head of Department

Let me express my sincere gratitude and welcome you for navigating this page to explore more about Computer Engineering department of LDRP Institute of Technology and Research. Computer engineering is relatively infantile discipline among other traditional engineering streams however its roots are very profound starting from mathematical foundation of modern computing by Allen Turing to introduction of digital computer architecture by John von Neumann to modern day computing where low powered intelligent devices are integrated with high performance computing over the Internet. Over the last four decades, the field has witnessed many variants starting from desktop computing to Internet to smart PDAs. Over the last decade numerous diversified technologies have emerged. IoT, Blockchain, AI, Cloud, Mining, Big data, Deep learning are just the few to name. Much more than just “writing code”, computer engineers are expected to identify problems and create a path of problem solving approach.  Outcome of such approach has reached today to every individual by social networking, online commerce, and web based options. Welcome to the most interesting, demanding and promising era of Computing! I hope that this website would be useful to you for finding all the information you require and to resolve the queries you have. Should there be any queries, you may write to hod_ce@ldrp.ac.in.

Thanks & Regards,
